For the Love of Books, April 19

On Friday, April 19th, we are very excited to be hosting one of our favourite events at East Lake School, For the Love of Books. Teachers will be reading stories and each student in our school will have the opportunity to hear three different books. We also have some special guests coming to read.
One of the guests is author Mrs. Hatton-Fernley. She will be at our school with a special friend to share her love for reading with our PreK – grade 3 students. Her story is about a goat name Kevin!
A signed copy of the book is available to purchase for $15.00 cash that day or it is also available to purchase on School Cash Online until April 26, 2024. This purchase is optional.
Your child is invited to dress up like their favourite book character and to bring a copy of that book to school. Dressing up is optional, your child will still be able to participate fully in all the fun, no matter what they are wearing!
