Mme Galbraith's Page

Hello! My name is Alexandra Galbraith welcome to our class page. I am absolutely thrilled to be your child's teacher this year!

This September marks my twenty-first year of teaching.  I love teaching as much now as I did in my first year.  There's always so much to learn and it's never the same.  I am originally from Québec and Ontario and have lived in Calgary for the past seven years.  I have a Specialized Honours degree in linguistics from York University and I attained my teaching certification from The University of Western Ontario. I have a variety of experiences teaching Kindergarten to Grade 8, being the Resource Teacher for students in Grades K-4 as well as other pursuits in the development of balanced literacy documents and curriculum and as a teacher mentor.

I believe the home-school relationship is key to making a positive and
rewarding experience for your child this year. Please feel free to contact us (send a note or leave a message)

if you have any questions or concerns you would like to discuss

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns by writing in the school agenda, phoning 403 - 248- 1091.

Parent Tips

A family atmosphere prevails at our school with the education of your child being a shared responsibility.  We encourage your interest in what your child does each day and welcome your involvement in the classroom, school council and at home.

  1. Please remind your child to practice their home reading on a regular basis.

  2. Our online library Book Flicks is available to all families, we encourage you to use this on a regular basis.

  3. Check out the Learn Alberta website for learning activities to do at home.
