Mrs. Taylor

Welcome back everyone! I hope that you all had a relaxing summer and had the chance to spend time with friends and family. My name is Mrs. Taylor and this will be my second year teaching grade 5 at East Lake School. I moved from Fort McMurray with my husband during the summer of 2016 and now reside in Airdrie. I taught in Fort McMurray for five years in grades four and a four/five combined class. Living close to the mountains has always been a dream of mine since I moved to Alberta from Nova Scotia over eight years ago. I love spending time in the mountains as much as I can and enjoy going for hikes in the warmer months and skiing in the winter.

I am really excited to meet all of my students and their parents/guardians and look forward to getting to know each of you in the upcoming weeks. Please feel free to pop in to say hello and introduce yourself. If you have any questions please contact me by e-mail or by sending a note in your child's agenda. The first few days can be quite busy and a lot of new information is being handed out. I will be sending some notices home that outline my classroom routines, procedures and expectations. I will also be sending home a parent/guardian questionnaire to be filled out and passed back in your child’s agenda at your earliest convenience. There is a lot to look forward to in the upcoming grade five year and I can’t wait to get started!

Take care,

Mrs. Taylor
